Louis P Mooers

Louis Phlip Mooers was born in October, 1873 in Watertown, Massachussetts. He became a superintendent at a bicycle factory in the mid-1890s. In 1897 he constructed a self-designed automobile.

In 1901 he joined the Peerless Automobile company as its Chief Designer. He designed the first completely original Peerless and began entering his designs in automobile races, including the 1903 Gordon Bennett Cup with some success until he left in 1905. Later he worked for Moon and Excelsior.
He died in 1962.
